Ram Prasad: Driver Who Saved my Life (2 Photos,2 Stories)

Few days back,I was in Damoh, early morning, I was informed in my room in the Circuit House, Damoh that one Ram Prasad wants to meet me. I called him in and made him sit on the sofa. He was my police driver 42 years ago when I was SP Damoh. Apart of being a good driver, during anti Sikh riots, he had saved my life.
I had gone to Damoh where my Janparishad with a local organisation had organised a Kavi Sammelan. Ram Prasad, now 81, told me that he awoke at 2 in the night and saw his mobile to find that I was in Damoh. In the morning he came to me.
I had his iconic old picture with me standing in front of my police jeep. Now I got a picture taken in front of my car. Laxmi and I visited his house before leaving for Bhopal.
